Andrew Bowen, aka the voice of Johnny Cage, recently tweeted and then quickly deleted a video that could potentially mean Mortal Kombat 12 is coming next from NetherRealm Studios. The video reportedly showed Bowen arriving at WB Studios in California, presumably to do some vocal work for the company. During the course of the video, some music from Mortal Kombat II could be heard faintly in the background, again leading those who saw the video to think that he was indeed visiting WB Studios to work on Mortal Kombat 12. There is no confirmation as to what work Andrew Bowen…
Jax has been cast for the next season of Law and Order. Ok, so maybe not THE Major Jackson Briggs, but the most recent live action actor to play everyone’s favorite bio-mech armed kombatant, Mehcad Brooks, is set to join the kast of the LONG running procedural series.Variety reports that Brooks will be joining the kast for season 22 of the main Law & Order series. Seemingly, the actor will be replacing Anthony Anderson as it was announced that Anderson would not be returning from season 21. Though exact details have not been released as to who exactly the character…
Combo Breaker 2022 happened this weekend, and WHAT A TOURNAMENT!The top 32 was peppered with some of the expected names. We saw Grr, Kombat, HoneyBee, Han Rashid, Rewind, VideoGamezYo, Scorpionprocs, and KMac. All of whom, with the exception of Scorpionprocs, have been top 8 finishers regularly since MKX. Noticeably absent from MK11 at Combo Breaker this year was SonicFox, possibly the biggest name in NRS Esports. Fox has said that they will be returning to MK11 at this year’s EVO tournament (on their Twitter). For Combo Breaker however they were focusing on Skull Girls, for which they took SECOND overall…
Professional Esports commentator and former Esports competitor Ryan “Ketchup” Neal has posted a new video on the PNDK&M YouTube channel in his ongoing series analyzing the history of Mortal Kombat games through the competitive lens. Ketchup has been breaking down everything in past games, from the complete competitive histories of favorite characters, to full game breakdowns. This time we get a full analysis of the Kreate-A-Fighter mode from Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. Kreate-A-Fighter mode was a great way for fans to design versions of their fan fiction characters back in 2006 when Armageddon launched on console.
Twitter user @JustMKollum is one part of a development studio called Eyeballistic Game Studio who are currently working on a 4K remake of Mortal Kombat Trilogy. Joining JustMKollum we have team head Joe Tresca (@calactyte), and between these two feeds we have been given a TON of eye candy from the project. There seems to be some great headway being made. We can see in their Twitter feeds that there are a great amount of assets that have been translated to 3D. So far we have been given 3D sprites for MK3 Scorpion, MK1 Scorpion, MK1 Sub-Zero, Sektor, Cyrax, Sheeva,…
Hello Kamidogu! My name is Dustin, and I am the new kid on the block here. So, I thought I would drop in and introduce myself and some of my experience with this franchise we all know and love. At nearly 40 years old I have the distinct pleasure of having been around since the beginning. I have many fond memories of pumping quarters into EVERY MK1 machine I could find and losing myself to the one true tournament of champions. Since then I have been hooked. From arcade cabinets to home consoles I have devoured every iteration of this…
