With the release of the Khaos Reigns expansion for Mortal Kombat 1 a little over a month away, Ed Boon has today shared a short teaser of what to expect come Thursday.
No longer male (Kameo aside), Cyrax can be seen squaring off against Sub-Zero who questions her allegiance to the Lin Kuei. Doing away with the cyber initiative notion of automation, Cyrax seems to maintain her human attributes while fighting in what can only be described as an Iron Man-like suit.
Cyrax retains much of her signature moves, including explosive bombs, spinning blades and nets. It looks like her traditional net trap has been replaced with what looks like foam, but we’ll wait and see.
Finally, Ed’s tweet also mentions a more in-depth look at the Khaos Reigns story, something fans will be eager to check out following its arch into chaos. The trailer is set to drop on August 15th at 11am PT/1pm CT.
