Mortal Kombat 1’s newest main roster kombatant Homelander is set to drop in a few short days, with the guest fighter due to arrive on June 4 for owners of the Kombat Pack.
News of his official release date came alongside a promised gameplay trailer, showcasing his superhuman abilities. From the official press release:
Homelander is the most powerful being on the planet and the leader of The Seven, the elite superhero team owned and managed by Vought International. In a world where “Supes” are made, he’s the strongest of them all.
Homelander presents himself as the ultimate patriot and protector, but don’t let his movie star good looks or high approval rating fool you. He is a murderous, narcissistic sociopath with an insatiable need for validation, love, and power.
Homelander’s destruction of enemies and lust for power does not end with his world. Challengers from other realms will also face his wrath.
Homelander aside the trailer also showcases Ferra, who first made her debut alongside Torr in Mortal Kombat X. Fighting alone this time around, her vivacious battle cries and small size make her an incredibly unique Kameo fighter. Her availability is simply listed as June at this point; we’re betting on late June.
