Mortal Kombat has joined popular short-form video sharing platform TikTok, as anticipation continues to build for the next exciting instalment in the franchise.
TikTok joins a slew of other platforms on which Mortal Kombat holds official accounts, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch and Discord. Kamidogu has also opened its own TikTok account; be sure to give us a follow too!
Fans continue to wait with bated breath, as an official announcement of Mortal Kombat 12 is expected sometime in mid to late May. This comes following the release of last week’s teaser trailer, in which an hourglass expels its last grains of sand. As the clip draws to a close, the camera zooms up on a single grain, which explodes into multiple fragments reminiscent of the big bang. Will we see a reboot, more time travel, or perhaps the introduction of a multiverse? Only time will tell.
The account currently contains an introductory video, as well as another focusing on the series’ very first boss: the cunning soul-stealing sorcerer Shang Tsung. No doubt more videos will follow soon, as the series continues its 30th anniversary celebrations.
