Jeremy Slater is the new screenwriter for the second movie in the reboot movie series.
That name might sound familiar as he also worked on the Disney+ Marvel series Moon Knight. In a recent interview with Discussing Film he acknowledged that the studio is aware of the issues the fans had with the first film, as well as the things we loved, and steering to correct and improve on the next film.
Will they be able to make us forget about Cole Young? Probably not. BUT that is not to say we can’t forgive. So long as we actually get to the tournament, and they find a way to bring back the major players that were seemingly disposed of in the first movie rather unceremoniously.
Personally, I feel like this is a bit of an uphill battle in snow. But that isn’t to say that it is impossible. Crazy things happen in the games fairly regularly, so anything is possible.
