Labelled as either a criminal mastermind or psychotic supervillain: there’s no denying that the Clown Prince of Crime turns heads.
Following his controversial appearance in the first Kombat Pack trailer released last August, NetherRealm Studios have used the months since to transfigure The Joker into the sharp-faced twisted prankster we have all grown to love or hate. Richard Epcar reprises his voicing role, delivering his strongest performance to date.
Joker’s hooked cane makes its return alongside a fresh arsenal of tricks, including jacks-in-the-box, giant boxing gloves, restrained and wheelchair bound hostages, a Batman plush toy, jerry cans and much more. The trailer ends with a genius Fatality featuring a subtle nod to the series’ infamous Friendships that has to be seen to be believed.
The Joker becomes the fifth kombatant to join Mortal Kombat 11 as part of the Kombat Pack following the release of Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, The Terminator and Sindel. Owners of the Kombat Pack will be able to download Joker from January 28, with general availability following a week later.
Released alongside The Joker are also a number of DC Elseworlds skins, including “The Batman Who Laughs” Noob Saibot, “Killer Croc” Baraka and “Catwoman” Kitana. “Time Lord of Apokolips” Geras will also be available, in addition to the previously released “Harley Quinn” Cassie Cage skin.
