The introduction of Cassie Cage early in the promotional cycle raised many eyebrows.
Many saw her inclusion as the next-generation replacement for her parents, Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade, however the release of today’s “Meet the Cage Family” trailer seems to derail that theory.
The video shows off an aged Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade, now divorced, and seems to confirm them both as playable kombatants. Gameplay footage also shows previously unseen U.S. Special Forces agent Jax, as well as Mileena alongside a couple of new arenas. Also making an apperance in the trailer are Shinnok and Kenshi, who was recently revealed as a playable kombatant in the mobile port of Mortal Kombat X.
Mortal Kombat X will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 when it launches on April 14, 2015. In addition, it will be available for both iOS and Android devices in April.
